Designers of the world's most advanced hot tack machines.

THE COMPANY

Nestled in Northern California's wine country, the small, highly specialized company of H.W. Theller LLC, a.k.a. Theller Engineering, was established to design, build, and service precise and accurate testing machines for measuring hot tack and ultimate seal strength of flexible web materials.

TESTING MACHINES and SERVICES

Hot Tack Heal SealerThe model HT Hot Tack Heatsealer has been from its inception, the most advanced laboratory machine in precision, accuracy, automatic calibration, and capability for simulation of commercial vertical form-filled-seal machines. With computer control, it automatically draws a test specimen between the sealing jaws, seals the specimen under precisely controlled conditions, immediately withdraws the hot seal and measures the development of its strength over the first few hundred milliseconds of its life. The controller then plots the resulting cooling curve, and from it, reads the hot tack of the seal at any desired time interval after opening of the jaws - all in one test cycle! Over 100 machines are in use worldwide!

PC2 Heatsealer The PC2 Heatsealer - the predecessor of the hot tack machine --is a highly accurate and versatile laboratory heatsealer. It is capable of sealing accurately under a wider range of conditions than normally encountered on vertical form-fill-seal machines. The PC2 and the HT sealer both can be equipped with sealing jaws of virtually any design to simulate individual field machines. The PC2 is upgradeable to become a model HT Hot Tack Heatsealer.

Mini Tensile Tester with Hood The Theller Mini Tensile Tester, shown with dust-tight hood, is perfect for in-plant floor use as the key to close control of packaging seal strength. It can be used by the packaging machine operator to test the strength of package seals pulled from the production line. Machine adjustment can then be maintained to produce seals within specifications for both easy opening and adequate strength.
NEW FACES ADDED:

Dynisco Polymer Test  has acquired manufacturing, sales and patent rights to our heatsealers - including the hot tack machine as companion products for their present line of polymer processing test equipment. Call Dynisco Polymer Test at their Alpha Technologies division at 330-745-1641 for sales and service on the complete line of machines and parts.

Thwing Albert Instrument Co. has taken over manufacturing, sales and service for the mini tensile tester.  Call Thwing Albert, for sales and service at 856-767-1000.
